About Us
The We Cousins Company was founded in 1996
by Chuck and Lorraine Sauber of Virgil, Illinois. The
company’s name comes from Lorraine and Chuck’s desire that the
company will give their grandchildren (all 47 of them) a mutual
interest and purpose in keeping together.
We believe that life teaches important lessons
through trials, errors, failures and successes. Each of
us is born with certain gifts and abilities - all we need to
do is find and develop them. Because we are all uniquely
different, there are no set rules that apply to everyone.
The most important thing is to concentrate on using and expanding
the abilities God has given us. We can't do it alone.
We all need God and each other. Our goal is to continue
to be of service to others and spread the knowledge and confidence
that God loves us no matter who we are or what we have done.
The
Confidence Coin
was our first product. It
is to represent a physical reminder that no matter who we are
or what we have done, God always loves us. We have since
expanded our product line to include a variety of Angels, Bronze
Nativity scenes, and several other items created by Chuck, with
design assistance from Joseph Diller.
Chuck Sauber is founder and chief philosopher
of Sauber Manufacturing, which is a manufacturer and distributor
of products for electric, telecommunications and gas utilities
since 1968. Headquartered in Virgil, Illinois, (population
approx. 266, located about 50 miles west of Chicago), the company
motto is: "Putting innovation into hardware." Chuck holds
patents for over 50 products.
Both companies are family-owned and debt-free.
